Now that you are running SpamAssassin, there are more steps to take to get ahead of spam. One step is to set up a “spam box.” A spam box is part of your email account. It works much like the spam folders in gmail, Yahoo mail, et al. All email tagged by SpamAssassin is put into a separate spam “folder” of your email account.

Thus, your inbox does not have any email flagged as spam All the email flagged as spam is separate. When you want to check the spam, you get to it via the drop-down menu much like viewing the contents of your deleted or saved mail.

The advantage of a spam box is that you have sorted your email into two piles. You can deal with all non-flagged email easier because all the junk is out of the way. Then, you can scan the contents of your spam box quickly to check for false positives (email that SpamAssassin wrongly flagged as spam).

To enable a spam box, go to the same page where you enabled SpamAssassin. There you will find a button to enable your spam box.
